My emphasis within the company is investment property. A large number of my clients are buyers and sellers who may never set foot on the island. Some buy sight-unseen and eventually do come to see their properties. Many are buyers of land for future development. Others are builders whose properties may sometimes sell even before groundbreaking occurs.
We are often called upon to help arrange remodeling, furnishing, and renting, and we do whatever we can to help. It is very important to us that our clients experience success with their real estate investments. As a result, we have a strong network of business associates who work together to make that happen.
My background consists of more than 25 years as a CPA, financial planner, stockbroker, banker, and investment advisor. After all those high stress careers, I decided to do something more relaxing and became a licensed massage therapist. Now that I am in real estate, which is the most stressful career of alI, I look forward with eager anticipation to my weekly massage.
My hometown is Sarita, Texas, which is in sparsely populated Kenedy County about 100 miles north of South Padre Island. My mother, who turned 83 this year, continues to live there with her 2000 lb. pet longhorn steer Paint and an assortment of cats.
I have lived in San Antonio TX, Rogers AR, Branson MO and Jupiter FL before moving back to South Texas. In 2003, I decided to make South Padre Island my home. Once here, I decided that the best way for me to make a living would be real estate.
My two great dogs are miniature schnauzers named Frivolous and Fanciful.
In the rare event that I have spare time, I love to paint with oils. I started painting only a few years ago, and there is nothing I enjoy more, except for fishing. Fishing on Sunday afternoon truly is my favorite form of relaxation, and one of my goals in life is to find more time to devote to fishing and painting.
