Marvin Herschberg is your friend in the real estate business. He has been a resident of South Padre Island since April 2004. Since moving to the Island he has been active in the community and currently is on the Economic Development Council. He has also served on the Ad Hoc Medical Care Committee and was Chair of the Coalition for Business Development. Prior to moving to South Padre Island in March 2004, Marvin resided in Palm Valley/Harlingen and worked as a REALTOR since 2000.
Currently, Marvin is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with South Padre Coastal Real Estate, Inc. He is also an approved Instructor by the Texas Real Estate Commission and has taught the financial/math courses.
Marvin is committed to donating part of his commission to a Charity that the Buyer or Seller selects from a list provided after closing. The donation is in the name of the Buyer or Seller.

Prior to becoming a REALTOR, Marvin held many administrative positions in the fields of Senior Housing, Nursing Homes, Medical Groups and Hospitals. He has also served as a Faculty Member for a number of Universities, teaching courses in health care management and social work and has lectured numerous times on the topic of “Ethics in Social Work”.
Other notable achievements include multiple appointments by Governors and Mayors to various Committees in the area of Health Care. He has also served as a member of the Orange County Business Coalition Task Force on Health Care Costs; prepared position papers on health care platform issues for a U.S. Senatorial candidate and chaired Committees on designing health care service systems in Chavez County (NM) and Newark, NJ.
Marvin has been active in many community organizations, such as Chambers of Commerce, United Way, and was the founding President of a Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
In addition to Real Estate, Marvin is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Texas.
